Ben, age 6, made this creative flag at school. The stars are made with mini-marshmallows. I was able to stop certain members of the family from eating the marshmallows after I told them they were attached with glue.
These stories describe our journey with Ben, our oldest son. Ben is a sweet and energetic redhead, born with POLR2A, a rare genetic change. My husband, Ryan, and I try to keep up with Ben and his two younger brothers. I intend to shed insight into raising a child with disabilities and pass on the wisdom we’ve earned over the past two decades.

ReplyDeleteOh, I LOVE Ben's flag -- what fun! I don't know if I would have near as much luck if I tried this project with my kiddos -- marshmallows are INHALED by the seven-and-under set around here ;)
