My sister, Olivia, my friend Wendi and I hopefully have completed the Cooper River Bridge Run in Charleston, SC by the time you wake up and read this. In its 34th year, this world famous foot-race is my first 10K of the year meeting the criteria for the 10K & 10LBS Goal I set for myself this year. These stories describe our journey with Ben, our oldest son. Ben is a sweet and energetic redhead, born with Rett Syndrome, a rare genetic mutation. My husband, Ryan, and I try to keep up with Ben and his two younger brothers.
